What the LNG Approval Means for First Nations Communities Along the Coast.

pipeline

This has nothing to do with history but I found this image earlier today and thought id share.

The Liquified Natural Gas pipeline proposal has recently been approved by the Canadian Government. I am originally from the coastal community of Prince Rupert and I am also First Nations. I find the image posted with this interesting because after a potential spill, First Nations culture will be taken along with the natural habitats of the coastal wildlife. First Nations culture relies heavily on the land, so a spill could potentially wipe out what we have left of our culture. You cant make a totem pole out of a pipeline!
